Dataset for DNN learning

The dataset is prepared and intended as a data source for development of a stress analysis method based on machine learning. It consists of finite element stress analyses of randomly generated mechanical structures. The dataset contains more than 270,794 pairs of stress analyses images (von Mises stress) of randomly generated 2D structures with predefined thickness and material properties. All the structures are fixed at their bottom edges and loaded with gravity force only.

More information and the dataset is available here.

Fire-Fighting Adapter for Forest Machinery

The research published as an article presents an innovative solution of a fire-fighting adapter based on the basic hypothesis: to provide sufficient technical support in difficult terrain conditions for water transport logistics in order to quickly prevent the spread and destruction of forest fire. At present, when forest fires begin, it is often quite complicated to provide sufficient technical support for the quick prevention and elimination of fires. This fact is largely eliminated by the designed fire-fighting adapter. It can be used as a fire-fighting mobile device with a base machine of a forest wheeled skidder, part of the long-distance transport of water in difficult terrain (lake system), a water tank in difficult terrain with the possibility of filling the Bambi bag with a helicopter, part of the long-distance transport of water in the case of a difficult water source without a forest access road network, and a mobile device for emergency transportation of material in a difficult terrain. When designing the supporting frame, we used and imitated the evolutionary approach of nature in the form of a generative design tool, available in Autodesk Inventor.

Virtual Reality Application using Unreal Engine

The simulation application created in Unreal Engine / C++ for HTC Vive virtual reality headset. The application uses a simple stand composed of a frame, seat, steering wheel and pedals. It also contains PC with HTC Vive VR headset. The stand is used to steer the vehicle, start recording and reset a drive. In playback mode it allows observation of the drive, and forces on wheels. Paddle shifters are used to rotate orientation of the camera. The project was supported by Volkswagen Slovakia Foundation.

Determination of forestry machine’s tilt angle using camera

A method how to determinate a machine’s tilt angle by means of image processing. The method supposes that the machine works in a forest environment and surrounding trees grow in vertical direction. The camera fixed to the chassis is utilized to detect the direction of the trees and to compute the machine’s tilt angle. The research was published in November 2014, in Computers and Electronics in Agriculture journal (link).

LabView – Investigation of Tire-Terrain Interactions

A contribution to measurement of tire-terrain interactions, using NI LabVIEW system. A mechanical basis on which the measurement system is based was designed as laboratory measuring stand. The presented measurement system, as a result of the work, consists of several NI transducers connected with a laptop via USB. A full text of the paper is available here.

Old Java Applications

A set of the java applets created for another department at Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia, in 2006 year. They were used in pedagogical process.

Here are collected some of my old Java Micro applications (J2ME/MIDP 1.0, ~ year 2002, personal project): Image based offline navigation app, Map based offline navigation app, Hero like game (inspired with the game by Activision for C64).

Some details are available here. Before (~) 2003 I created also a java web menu system (as a personal project):
